Twid as a Photographer 

Twid has always been a keen photographer and always carries his camera with him. He has had many articles published in Magazines. Climb, Climber, Mountain, Alpinist, TGO and Trail. His photos have also been used in many brochures DMM, Boreal, Mammut, Karrimor, Plas y Brein etc. He regulary gives slides shows for clubs, Film Feastivals and events. He has presented slide shows for the British Mountaineering Council for 3 years during there Winter Skills Lectures. He has appeared at the Kendal Film Feastival several times once as a main line speaker with Louise his wife.

Twids Collection

Twid has an extensive collection spanning 20 years of walking, rockclimbing, ice climbing, skiing and Mountaineering photos from all parts of the world. On many of his travels he has observed and photographed people, travelling and general life as background for articles and slide shows. For the 50 aniversary of the summiting of Everset Chris bonnington used a few of Twid and Louises slides as part of a presentation to  a huge audiance in London, where the Queen was present! Twid has always carried an SLR and a small compact camera on all his travels. The quality of shot coming from the SLR. He has always used a Cannon EOS for 20yrs for its quality and lack of weight which is important while climbing at a high standard. He is available for photographic asignments to remote mountain areas and has a collection documented for sale.
